The Done’rs Creed
The words of those who have
become DONE with Church.
They are those that have
been used by the institutional
church and then cast out.
They are hurt & disappointed.
These are the words they
draw strength from.
Values that lead
toward spiritual health.
1. I believe in: In a walk with Jesus that is a pure. A faith that is free of ceremonial requirements and rules. I desire a simple life that is committed to the example of Jesus’s as he lived out his sacrificial life.
2. I believe that: No Theologian, No Teacher, No Student, No Pastor, No Person or Institution understands all of Gods Word or Gods Ways. I believe we must always be learning. I believe we can learn from everyone. I purpose to remain teachable.
3. I Believe in: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit at work in the world.
4. I believe in: The Scriptures as Gods inerrant Written Word. I believe in the Bible as the basis of our faith.
5. I believe in: The individual persons ability to hear from God and act accordingly. I trust that the Holy Spirit will lead me into all truth.
6. I believe that: Prayer is absolutely vital in our walk with the Lord. I give myself to that.
7. I Believe in: Jesus as Gods Son who came to save the world from their sin.
8. I believe in: Repentance from Sin as the doorway to our walk with God.
9. I believe in: The Born Again experience as a miraculous act of Gods Grace. I know this changes a person for ever. I know that the old things have passed away and that all things have become new.
10. I believe in: A life that is empowered by Holy Spirit. I know this life is available to anyone that would ask for it.
11. I believe in: The Galatians Chapter 22 and Corinthian Chapter 12,13,14 gifts. These gifts should be active in our lives. These gift are available to all believers who ask and that they are activated when the Holy Spirit needs them
12. I believe in: The Church that is made up of those who are called out. The true church should be known for its going out. Jesus always said Go. He said stay once. We are to stay until we receive the power of the Spirit. In our obedience to Go … He will Protect, Bless and Provide miraculously.
13. I believe in: The Assembling Together as a vital element of our walk in Christ. I understand it doesn’t have to be in a large gathering. I will not forsake gathering together. I will actively seek Covenant Relationships with other like minded believers. I will value Fellowship and Koinonia as a blessing by the Holy Spirit. I will recognize there are many forms of gatherings and relationships. I will bless them all. I refuse to stand in judgment other believers as they walk out their faith.
14. I believe in: The Ephesians Chapter 4:11 gifts that are given to equip the believers. These are known as The Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher. These gifts are known by their anointing. They are bestowed by the Holy Spirit upon a person’s life rather being given by an institution.
15. I believe in: The calling to ministry is placed upon all believers. The place of Professional Clergy has not proven to be productive. We are not to muzzle the ox while he is treading but we lovingly ask who is the ox.
16. I believe in: The ministry is about growing big. People who are large on the inside. I am cautious of those who focused on growing a large church.
