Is one who doesn't lord it over others. This is a leader who practices serving others. This concept can be found in
a biblical teaching found here:
1 Peter 5:2-3 says: Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.
The Servant leader is needed in all places of society. It can be found, but is a rarity that must be affirmed in others. It must be called forth in other leaders.
Most often Servant Leadership can be found in the core values of all successful groups and organizations and even families.
The Rancher has a motive. The rancher has a different vision than the Shepherd. When we follow a Rancher it’s difficult. It often leaves one feeling used.
The two roles often clash with each other. The flock often searches for the Shepherd but are lost in the crowd.
The Rancher will eventually lead the sheep down a path that leaves them discouraged and disappointed.
SERVANT LEADERSHIP:
A shepherd who doesn't lord it over others, exemplifies the following qualities:
Humility
They lead with humility, recognizing that their role is to serve and guide rather than to dominate or control.
Service
They prioritize the needs and well-being of those they are leading. They seeking to serve rather than to be served.
Example
They lead by example, demonstrating the values and behaviors they wish to see in their people.
Respect
They respect the autonomy and individuality of everyone. They encourage growth and development in a supportive manner.
Compassion
They show genuine compassion and care for the people they are leading, offering guidance and support with empathy and understanding.
This type of leadership fosters a healthy, nurturing, and supportive community where everyone feels valued and empowered.

I’ve often said:
Follow the Leader with Nail Scared Hands. Of course that’s Jesus.
Then, He calls us to follow the one(s) who have suffered with Him. The ones who have walked with Him (Jesus) through the joys, pains and the realities of life.
